The place
Hhe Natural Time domain is almost two hectares in size and is located in a valley crossed by a sparkling river. Together with the trees, it provides cooling on hot days. If you want the sun, you can find it in the amphitheater and in the walled garden. But also in the open kitchen and at most tent sites. If it rains, you can go to the hall, the open kitchen or the back stage.
Area:
Thiétry is located in the bushy hills of the Low Vosges. We have the Wolf Valley as our 'backyard'. A rugged valley with waterfalls, rock walls and large stones. If you look carefully (or go with a guide) you will find old souvenirs such as a stone quarry, an altar, a statue of the Wildeman, a cave and signs of early inhabitants that go back to the time of the Celts. Not far from us in Viomenil, where the Saone and Madon originate, is the Druiden Valley. Interesting archaeological finds have also been made here that are definitely worth seeing. Favorites are also the Hermitage near Darney and the valley of la Belle Roche with a sculpted rock and an intriguing Romanesque ruin.
In Clairey, also our municipality, there is a museum about the local glassworks (including that of Thiétry), textile and iron industry. In the woods of Clairey there is also a lovely clear forest lake where you can swim on a sunny day.
