ABOUT THE INITIATIVE
BACK TO BASIC
My name is Hans Roverts, born and raised in Geleen (April 4, 1963). After a good childhood and training as a car mechanic, I started studying to become a graphic designer in Eindhoven.
When the time came to fly out, I went to live in Gemert (N-B) and worked in a printing company where I became co-manager of the printing preparation and the design studio.
In my spare time I could lose my interest in the motorcycle world and at the I.V.N. (Institute for Nature Conservation Education) where I was allowed to bang the gavel for a while. With the renovation of my monumental Wevershuisje and the extension of a garage, kitchen and bathroomI learned a lot that will now serve me well in France.
The completion of the renovation - towards the end of the millennium - coincided with the end of my marriage and the increasing loss of creativity in my work due to the arrival of computers in the graphic world. Reason enough to expand my horizon after 15 years to broaden once again, in search of a new meaning and environment.
I found this in France after a lucid dream. I can indulge my passion for nature here and I can express my creative side in artistic expressions and the restoration of the ruins. Only a very small part of it can be seen on this site, so you will really have to come by to get an idea.
Since 2007 I started working with Youth Care and slowly discovered that I was essentially initiating the young people. This mentorship gave me so much satisfaction that I started calling my work as such and specialized in initiating.
I am now the proud father of a daughter (2007) and a son (2010). My partner Indi is made from the same cloth :-) I enjoy my basic life every day and the dynamics with the boys and men. Although I have a nice house, I prefer to live in my caravan, wash my face in the stream in the morning and enjoy my wood stove and my 3 months of hibernation in the winter.
Hans Roverts,
Chairman dNT
